Family Friendly Summer Days

Family Friendly Summer Days

With school holidays just around the corner, it’s time to start planning what to do with the countless summer days. From lazy beach mornings to afternoons spent swimming in hidden lakes, the UK certainly has a lot to offer.

We have researched some of the best family friendly days out and put them together all in one place, so you don’t have to.

The Perfect Pool Day

It would be rude not to make the most of the warm weather that we so rarely get in the UK and what better way to do this then by visiting Tinside Lido, Plymouth. Previously voted in the top 10 most beautiful outdoor pools in Europe, the pool is situated next to Plymouth South with great views of the sea. Grab your favourite pair of Nautica swimming shorts, googles and sun cream and head down to Plymouth for the day or a lovely long weekend!

An Afternoon at the Lake

The Blue Pool Nature Reserve in Dorset is the perfect place to spend a sunny summers day. The lake gets its beautiful colour from tiny clay particles that are suspended in the water and refract the sunlight. Whilst you are unable to take a dip in the pool, it is the perfect location to take a stroll and appreciate your surroundings. If you fancy a pitstop, the Reserve has its own tearooms where you can stop to refuel.

A Boat Day

If you don’t fancy getting in the water, then perhaps a day on the water is the thing for you! You can spend the day punting in Oxford by hiring your own boat and enjoying the scenery. If you’re closer to the capital, then take a trip to Hyde Park and hire a boat on The Serpentine to enjoy some tranquility within the busy city.

Whether you choose to spend your summer days on, in or by the water don’t forget to pack your sun cream, towel and Nautica essentials for all the family. Happy Summer Holidays!
